The
Process
There are only four easy
steps in the process of recording horn parts on to your songs. The
whole concept behind Hi Speed Horns is based on using the internet
as a base for collaboration and eliminating the costly steps of finding
and/or hiring a contractor, arranger, and studio. We have the talent
and technology to help complete your project.
Step
1:
Contact
Us to Collaborate - Email us at recordings@hispeedhorns.com
or sign up for a FREE account and fill out an online project form.*
This is where we collaborate and discuss all ideas for your project.
For
example:
- How many songs would you like for us to record?
- What instrumentation do you prefer?
- Have you written scratch horn parts (MIDI Recording, Charts,
etc.)?
- Would you like for us to come up with an arrangement for you?
- Do you have a specific sound or style you're looking for?
- What software are you using (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo,
Sonar)?
These are some basic questions that will help us prep for your material
and ensure the results you're looking for.
Step
2:
Send
Us Your Song(s) - You can do this
one of 3 ways:
1. Upload your song files to our site
- Once the song(s) have been uploaded, we download
them to our hard-drive and place them into our Pro Tools system. A
high-speed internet connection would be best, as the music files may
be large and can take an extended amount of time to upload via a dial-up
connection. Click here to begin this process!
2.
Email via attachment -
Email is another fast method, but
depending on your file size, may be problematic. Email programs
usually limit file attachments to not exceed 10MB. However, if you
convert your tracks or songs into an MP3 file, MP3's are compressed,
which reduces the file size. Email your files to
recordings@hispeedhorns.com. You can also send your larger files
via www.yousendit.com.
3. Snail Mail -
Depending on your deadline and/or schedule of completion, you can
Fed Ex or send them standard postage. Please send us your material
in CD format (audio CD or a data CDR with your music files).
Click here for our contact information.
Step
3:
Producing
and Recording the Music - Once we have your song, we convert
them into our Pro Tools system. Here, we can listen to the song, scratch
parts, synth lines, etc. We can then begin the recording process and
lay down the parts according to the arrangement(s) we discussed with
you.
Upon completion, we will send you the working arrangements for you
to listen. Once you're happy with the arrangement(s), we move on to
Step 4.
Step
4:
Sending
the Files Back to You - We send the full master parts with matching
sample rate, bit depth, and file extension (usually WAV or AIFF)
back to you. You can either download them from our site* or we will
be happy to mail them to you on a CD-ROM. We usually send them unprocessed
so you can mix to your liking.
WE
LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU!
